Founded in 1904 and headquartered in Farmington Hills, MI, USA, the American Concrete Institute is advancing concrete knowledge by conducting seminars, managing certification programs, and publishing technical documents. Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut, a Chapter of the national Associated Builders and Contractors, is a membership organization comprised of 200 Merit Shop member-firms in Connecticut.

Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut members are working together, building a better future for all of us. Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut members believe in the free enterprise system that has made this country strong.

All qualified, responsible contractors should be eligible to bid and be awarded projects based on their ability to perform.

The American Society of Concrete Contractors was formed by and for concrete contractors and others who provide services and goods to the industry. It is a powerful organization of contractors who share the same goals - to improve their businesses and their roles as contractors. The consumer side of concrete is expanding rapidly right now with the popularity of decorative concrete counters and baths and the growing expenses of building supplies. Here are a couple of resources. Search the web and find many more. There are numerous resources and magazines on line for purchase. HOWEVER, we should note that quality concrete work is not for the beginner. Years of experience pay off for the professional builder in time savings and financial advantage.
