Meet our team at Hop River Concrete:
We understand at Hop River that a company is only as good as the people who are on the job. The folks we list below are only part of the Hop River team. The rest of our folks are out there on site every day, making it happen. Below are some of the key players at Hop River, but we are well aware that without every player, there is no team.

 

Peter P. Jacques

Founder/President

  Employment Information:
 

Thirty-six years in the construction industry. He has a B.S. Degree in Individual technology & Construction Management from Central Connecticut State University; Class of 1974. Member of CT. ABC, Willimantic Chamber of Commerce, CT. Sub Contractors Association, American Concrete Contractors, The Mankind Project of New England, Jericho Circle Project, Boys to Men Program and International Lodge Keepers Society. Peter is a former construction trades instructor for the Capitol Region Education Council, and a former Jr. High Industrial Arts Teacher.

Jim Hammond

Vice President

  Employment Facts:
 

Jim Hammond has worked in various areas of the construction field since 1993. Jim has been with Hop River since July, 2000 and worked out in the field for the first 4 years of his tenure with Hop River Concrete.  Jim is the third generation in the family business of concrete.
Some of Jim’s roles as the Vice President include: Managing projects, supervising the Project Managers, scheduling our work, project planning, procurement, execution and delivery of concrete projects under budget and on time.

 

Hop River Concrete employs roughly 55 people at any time. These include a number of high quality Foremen and Site Managers and of course many hands to get the work of the job done ON TIME and ON BUDGET.

 

Kimberly Kita

Office Manager

   
 

Kimberly joined the Hop River team in 2007 as our Office Manager/HR Manager. She came to us with extensive experience in administrative and management duties and continues to further her education by attending Charter Oak College working towards her bachelor’s degree in business management. As of March 2011, she has added to her roles and has taken over all Payroll functions for HRC and HRC Garage.  

   
 

Steve Duhaime

Project Manager

   
 

Steve Duhaime came to Hop River Concrete is 2010 as a junior estimator and assistant project manager. Recently graduating from C.C.S.U.’s Construction Management program, Steve works closely alongside project managers and estimators, aiding in delivering competitive bids and successful concrete construction projects.

   
 

Janice Kneeland

Office Comptroller

   
 

Janice has over 15 years of experience in construction accounting and holds an A.S. degree in Accounting.  She joined Hop River Concrete in 2011 as our new Office Comptroller and in this position oversees all Contract compliance, AIA Billing, and Accounts Payable.  Her extensive knowledge in the construction industry has become an asset to Hop River Concrete.

   
 

Lea Jacques

Office Assistant

   
 

Lea Jacques has been involved with Hop River Concrete since 2007.  She started as our payables assistant and is now the office assistant.
